These objects, crafted from local clay, are entirely biomorphic—they possess familiar shapes of things that should be alive, yet are eternally still.
The Shapes: You see the coiled tension of a root system, the unfurling symmetry of a fern frond, and the dense, vulnerable shape of the beginning of life within the pupa. Some pieces are glazed, and others are smoke fired. Look closely: you can see ghostly black blushes, the result of the trapped smoke clinging to the burnished clay.
